Beirut: The visiting Secretary of Kuwait Bar Association, Khaled Al-Suwaifan, underscored the significance of the first Kuwaiti-Lebanese Law Day and the Second Regional Arbitration Conference as pivotal platforms for exchanging expertise and fostering legal cooperation between Kuwait and Lebanon. These events, held from August 13 to 16, brought together more than 300 legal professionals, including participants from the Beirut Bar Association, the Tripoli Bar Association, and the Lebanese University's Faculty of Law.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Suwaifan highlighted the recommendations made by the conference, which included an overhaul of legal legislations to keep pace with electronic arbitration, the establishment of criteria for using artificial intelligence (AI) in legal processes, the creation of joint Arab platforms for electronic arbitration, and the organization of specialized courses for arbitrators and attorneys.
Al-Suwaifan emphasized that these activities reflected the strong brotherly relations between Kuwait and Lebanon. He stressed the role of the Kuwait and Lebanese legal associations in enhancing dialogue and upgrading the legislative environment to serve the legal profession and promote justice. He also affirmed the Kuwaiti Bar Association's commitment to supporting such activities and enhancing pan-Arab and international partnerships to serve justice and develop a progressive legal environment that balances digital advancements with the fundamentals of the profession.
