Cairo: Saudi Arabia's Sheikh Saleh Kamel Humanitarian Foundation is offering scholarships to students pursuing their studies at Egypt-based universities, the Arab League announced on Sunday during a ceremony to launch the initiative.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the initiative reflects the Arab League's commitment to supporting education and enhancing the developmental role of Arab youth. The Cairo-based bloc emphasized the importance of strengthening education across the Arab region.
Discussing the goals of the initiative, the Saudi organization's chairman, Dr. Abdullah Saleh, stated during the ceremony that the scholarships aim to elevate the education sector. The efforts are intended to provide talented Egyptian students with opportunities to enter the job market.
The humanitarian body was established by the late Saudi tycoon Sheikh Saleh Kamel, who dedicated his life and career to philanthropic activities.
