Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan discussed on Tuesday with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa the latest developments in Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The two also stressed the importance of continuing all efforts to ensure the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, including the establishment of their independent state.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the meeting took place at Prime Minister Mustafa's residence, on the sidelines of his visit to Riyadh to participate in the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference.
The statement noted that the two sides reviewed the outcomes of the Two-State Solution Summit, the New York Declaration for a Peaceful Settlement, US President Donald Trump's initiative, the Sharm El-Sheikh Declaration, and the recent High-Level Coordinating Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution held in Riyadh.
They also discussed joint international efforts to ensure coordination among diplomatic, humanitarian, and institutional tracks.
Furthermore, the officials affirmed the need to empower the Palestinian authority and support its budget through The Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Authority, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip in accordance with humanitarian principles.
