Riyadh: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud held a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the organization of an international conference aimed at peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue and implementing the two-state solution. This summit is scheduled to take place on September 22, 2025.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the proposed summit seeks to address the ongoing conflict in Gaza and promote the establishment of a Palestinian state. The Saudi Royal Court released a statement highlighting the shared commitment of both leaders to this cause.
The dialogue between the Saudi Crown Prince and the French President also acknowledged the recent adoption of the New York Declaration by the United Nations General Assembly. This declaration, supported by a significant majority, emerged from the High-level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which took place from July 28-30, 2025.
Furthermore, the leaders noted the growing number of countries expressing their intention to recognize the State of Palestine. This trend underscores a strengthening international consensus aimed at fostering a peaceful future that supports the Palestinian people's aspiration to establish an independent state.
