Riyadh: Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel announced on Monday the signing of agreements and investments worth more than 124 billion Saudi Riyals (around USD 33 billion) during the opening of the Global Health Exhibition 2025.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the exhibition's aim is to boost international partnerships in digital health, medical research, and innovation. The event, which runs until October 30, features over 500 international experts and speakers from more than 25 countries, alongside senior health leaders, government officials, and investors.
Al-Jalajel highlighted the Kingdom's major healthcare achievements, including a 40 percent reduction in deaths from chronic diseases, a 60 percent drop in traffic fatalities, and an increase in life expectancy to 79 years. He also announced the launch of the Smart Health Coach in collaboration with Google through the Sehhaty app, as well as a pilot project for an AI Physician and efforts to localize vaccine manufacturing in partnership with global companies.
