SACGC Calls for Kuwaiti Students to Register for National Olympiad Tests in Physics and Chemistry

Sabah: The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has extended an invitation to Kuwaiti students to register for the national qualifying tests in preparation for the 2025 International Physics Olympiad in France and the International Chemistry Olympiad in the UAE.

According to Kuwait News Agency, SACGC Director General Neda Al-Daihani announced in a press release that the registration for these national tests will remain open until January 28. Al-Daihani described this initiative as a crucial step in establishing Kuwait as a leader in global scientific competitions. He highlighted that the national tests are part of the national (11%) initiative and are designed to enhance students' abilities for international Olympiads, with an expectation of achieving results that surpass the targeted percentage.

Al-Daihani explained that the Olympiad tests aim to identify young Kuwaiti scientists and researchers who have a passion for physics and chemistry. The Center is committed to providing all necessary resources to improve students' skills through specialized training programs, which will be led by international trainers. He also noted that the tests will include multiple-choice questions that may be unfamiliar to students, with the objective of evaluating their comprehension and adaptability, and establishing a unified assessment standard.

Furthermore, Al-Daihani outlined the registration requirements, stating that the tests are open to Kuwaiti students in grades nine through eleven, whether they are enrolled in public or private education. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English and exhibit a passion for or excellence in science.
