Russia Returns 6,060 Ukrainian Troops’ Bodies Following Istanbul Talks

Moscow: Russia has handed back the bodies of 6,060 Ukrainian troops, under an agreement reached at the Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul earlier this month, said Russian presidential aide and head of the negotiating delegation with Kyiv, Vladimir Medinsky. Medinsky also told reporters Monday that Russia has fulfilled its obligations under the Istanbul Agreement.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in return, Russia received the bodies of 78 Russian soldiers killed during the ongoing war between the two sides, he added. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced in an official statement its readiness to hand over an additional 2,239 bodies to Ukraine following the completion of today's operation.
