Moscow: Russia is determined to achieve its goals in Ukraine even after the conflict had taken a new turn after Kyiv used US-supplied ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory, the Kremlin said on Wednesday. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that any option of "freezing the conflict won't work for us," his spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated, underlining that Moscow remains unwavering in its stance towards "achieving its goals" in Ukraine. According to Kuwait News Agency, Peskov further mentioned that Russia is willing to return to the negotiating table, while Putin was ready to discuss a Ukraine ceasefire deal with US president-elect Donald Trump, provided that the talks align with Moscow's political and security goals. On a US decision to shut its embassy in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv due to a "potential air attack," Peskov noted that such security-related matters concern the defense ministry.
