Moscow: Russia and Qatar have signed a series of strategic agreements, most notably launching a joint investment platform valued at USD 2 billion. This development underscores the strengthening ties between Moscow and Doha and their shared commitment to expanding bilateral relations in key sectors, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced in a press release.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the agreement was signed by Kirill Dmitriev, Russian Presidential Envoy for Investment Cooperation and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, and Mohammad Saif, CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority. The initiative aims to foster joint investment flows with a focus on the energy, technology, and infrastructure sectors. This reflects a strategic move towards deepening the economic partnership between the two nations.
