Russia and Kazakhstan Forge Strategic Alliance Declaration

Moscow: Russia and Kazakhstan have signed a declaration to form a "strategic alliance" that encompasses multiple deals to enhance bilateral cooperation, the Kremlin announced, marking what is being hailed as a new era in Eurasia relations. President Vladimir Putin and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the declaration after discussions in Moscow that focused on matters of mutual concern. According to Kuwait News Agency, Putin highlighted Kazakhstan as one of Moscow's most trusted trade partners and noted that bilateral cooperation has expanded into critical sectors including energy, rare mineral resources, and space. He also mentioned that Russia's largest natural gas producer, Gazprom, is exploring opportunities to expand supply lines to Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh president emphasized Russia's position as Astana's most significant trade and investment partner. He referred to the new declaration as a symbol of mutual trust and the strength of cooperation between the two nations. The statement from the Kremlin underscored that this declaration confirms the positive trajectory of relations between Russia and Kazakhstan and will be key in initiating a new chapter of bilateral cooperation.
