Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has welcomed the agreement signed in the capital of Oman, Muscat, on Tuesday regarding the exchange of prisoners in Yemen. The Kingdom views this as a key humanitarian step that contributes to mitigating humanitarian suffering and boosting the chances of building confidence.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed appreciation for the sincere efforts and endeavors exerted by Oman while hosting the talks and supporting negotiation efforts from December 20-23. The ministry also commended efforts by the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and all parties involved in these talks.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reiterated its support for efforts aimed at achieving peace, security, and stability in a manner that aligns with the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
