Rasool: The Security Forces Continue To Protect Doctors And Public And Private Staff

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Major General Yahia Rasool, confirmed that the security forces are continuing to protect doctors and public and private staff and will not allow any attack.

Rasool said, in a statement: “At a time when the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stresses the importance of protecting scientific and medical competencies, and after a group in Maysan Governorate attacked a doctor and closed his clinic, a force from the 97th Infantry Brigade within the Maysan Operations Command sector managed to arrest four defendants in Al-Majar Al-Kabir district who threatened the doctor and took what is called (clan blood money) from him because of the death of their father.

He added: “The provincial police chief also visited the doctor’s house, and confirmed that the security forces are continuing to protect doctors and public and private staff and will not allow any attack. He also stressed the work to reopen the doctor’s clinic to practice his medical work.”

He pointed out: “The security services have clear instructions from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to take the necessary legal measures against anyone who attacks medical staff and workers in health institutions, and those involved in this illegal act will be followed up and prosecuted.”
