Bannu: At least one woman was killed and three children were injured after militants carried out two quad copter attacks in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said police on Wednesday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the district police chief, DPO Saleem Abbas Kulachi, told media that two quad copter incidents occurred in the Bannu district of KPK. These attacks, the first of their kind by militants, resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to three children.
Kulachi further explained that another quad copter attack targeted the Maryan police station, resulting in damage to the infrastructure. He confirmed that the police personnel remained safe during the attack. A search operation is currently underway in the area to track down the terrorists responsible for these incidents.
Earlier last week, at least five people, including a senior administrative official, were killed and 11 others wounded in a blast in the Bajaur tribal district of KPK.
