Qout Market Kicks Off 11th Season in Mishref Oasis Amidst Large Audience

Mishref Oasis: Qout Market launched its 11th season on Saturday in Mishref Oasis, amidst a large audience and the participation of more than 130 local businesses. Budour Al-Qassar, one of the founders of the Qout Market initiative, expressed enthusiasm for this season's unique setting in the middle of a residential area, which makes it an attractive spot for families.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Qassar highlighted the market's role in supporting small businesses over the years by providing them a platform to showcase their projects, introduce them to the public, and encourage their contribution to the national economy. This season's activities include a farmers market, handicraft projects, culinary experiences, and cafes, alongside a section dedicated to businesses focusing on children's entertainment.

Al-Qassar noted that public turnout exceeded 20,000 visitors, while previous seasons have seen more than 30,000 attendees at each event. This significant attendance underscores the market's popularity and its impact on the community.

Raghda Al-Janaei, a participant in the market, shared her project of creating interactive sensory books using brightly colored fabric, designed to engage children aged one to eight. Another participant, Nada Bin Naji, explained her initiative to enhance the Arab identity of children through the creation of entertaining characters made from cotton and environmentally friendly materials with Arabic names. She emphasized the importance of participating in local exhibitions that support Kuwaiti youth.

Additionally, Nour Al-Saif and her father took part in the market by offering 'Sidr' honey and honey-based products, as well as locally-made olive oil and shea butter, further showcasing the diverse range of local products available at the event.
