Qatar’s Amir Condemns Iran’s Attack on Al-Udeid Air Base

Doha: The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, reiterated his country's strong condemnation of the attack on Al-Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this statement was made during a phone call between Sheikh Tamim and Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, as reported by the Qatari Amiri Diwan.

Sheikh Tamim emphasized that the attack is completely inconsistent with the principle of good neighbourliness and the close relations between Qatar and Iran. He highlighted Qatar's longstanding commitment to dialogue with Iran and its diplomatic efforts to maintain regional stability.

In response, the Iranian President assured that the attack did not target the State of Qatar or its people and does not pose a threat to the nation. He reaffirmed that Qatar remains a neighboring, Muslim, and sisterly country in the eyes of Iran.
