Qatari PM Engages in De-escalation Talks with Iranian Foreign Minister

Doha: Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Saturday engaged in discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Abbas Araghchi, focusing on efforts to reduce escalation in the region.

According to Kuwait News Agency, these discussions were part of a phone call received by Sheikh Mohammad from the Iranian foreign minister. The call centered on reviewing ongoing de-escalation efforts and emphasizing the importance of continued negotiations between the United States and Iran.

Sheikh Mohammad reiterated Qatar's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at easing tensions and promoting peaceful solutions to enhance regional security and stability. He highlighted the necessity for joint efforts to shield the region's populations from the adverse effects of escalation and to maintain diplomatic coordination.
