Qatari Minister Highlights Continued Progress Under Kuwaiti Chairmanship at 45th GCC Summit.


Kuwait City: Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Sultan Al-Muraikhi affirmed that the 45th GCC Summit, scheduled to be held in Kuwait on December 1st, would continue the march of success under the chairmanship of Kuwait. Speaking at the 162nd session of the Ministerial Council ahead of the summit, Al-Muraikhi underscored the significance of Qatar’s previous chairmanship of the 44th GCC Summit as a pivotal opportunity to strengthen joint Gulf cooperation aimed at achieving a unified vision for the development and progress of the region’s people.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this year’s meeting among GCC officials has yielded positive outcomes and proposals expected to enhance the development of the Gulf states. Al-Muraikhi highlighted that during Qatar’s presidency, the first joint summit between the GCC and the EU was held in Brussels last October, marking a significant step in international cooperation. He noted that the GCC and the EU conducted a high-level meeting focused on security and coopera
tion, culminating in the announcement of a joint Gulf vision for regional security.

Al-Muraikhi expressed his wishes for success to the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, who is chairing the current 162nd sessions, hoping it would positively impact the council’s members. He also extended his gratitude to GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi for his support during Qatar’s presidency.
