Qatar to resume humanitarian aid to Sudan Wed.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Tuesday resuming the air bridge of humanitarian assistance to Sudan as of Wednesday (tomorrow).

The 12th aircraft carrying varied relief items will take off to Port Sudan, as part of Qatar’s support to Sudanese people to help them overcome this plight, Majid Al-Ansari, advisor to Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and the Ministry’s spokesman, said in a briefing.

On aid to Ukraine, Al-Ansari said that Qatar pledged USD 100 million humanitarian assistance to Kiev to help rehabilitate its education and health infrastructure, and provide potable water and services, he added.

He indicated that Qatar allocated 50 university scholarships for Ukrainians, in addition to contribution to USD 20 million to back the initiative of exporting Ukraine’s grain.
