Doha: Qatar strongly denounced the provocative statements of the Israeli Prime Minister regarding establishing a Palestinian State in Saudi Arabia's lands, considering them a flagrant violation of international law and of the UN Charter. In a statement, Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and called on the international community to firmly confront Israeli provocations.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry reiterated Qatar's absolute rejection of proposing forced displacement of Palestinians, and warned that such proposals would hinder the chances of peace and renew confrontations in the region. The ministry also stressed that a just and sustainable peace will not be achieved unless the Palestinians are enabled to impose their sovereignty over their lands.
Qatar reiterated its firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of Palestinians, including establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
