Qatar Declares Successful Mediation Efforts of Russian, Ukrainian Families’ Reunion

Kuwait city: Qatar announced on Friday the country's successful mediation efforts aimed at reuniting children with their family members separated due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The move is part of Qatar's ongoing efforts to reunite families, Qatar's Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that within the framework of the new phase four children were reunited with their relatives in Ukraine, and three others returned to their relatives in Russia.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this brought the total number of children reunited with their families since the start of Qatar's mediation efforts to 107. The ministry voiced Qatar's appreciation to Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova and Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets for their efforts that led to the success of the reunification of separated families.
