Doha: The Qatari Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Iran, labeling them as an "uncalculated escalation" that could severely impact regional security, which is already fragile.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Majed Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, addressed a press conference on Tuesday, expressing Qatar's deep concerns regarding the attacks. He stated that Israel's actions represent a new chapter in ongoing provocations and are detrimental to efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
Al-Ansari emphasized that only one regional actor is consistently undermining peace efforts, contributing to instability. He warned that the attacks on Iran's nuclear and energy infrastructure could have significant repercussions, not only affecting regional security but also the global energy markets.
Furthermore, he underscored the strategic importance of the Gulf waters, highlighting their role as both a local water resource and a vital channel for the world's energy supply.
