Putin Emphasizes Russia’s Commitment to Building Balanced Relations with Global Partners

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed on Thursday the nation's readiness to engage in balanced and mutually beneficial relationships with international partners. During his address to foreign ambassadors accredited to Russia, Putin emphasized the importance of global stability and security being directly linked to the ability of countries to collaborate and respond to mutual concerns.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Putin highlighted that peace is gradually being constructed, even as the global situation worsens. He noted that numerous countries are suffering from chaos, a lack of rule of law, and insufficient resources to defend themselves. Reinforcing Russia's commitment to a multipolar global system, Putin stated that genuine and open partnerships among nations could help tackle complex challenges.

He reiterated Moscow's commitment to a balanced and constructive political strategy, advocating for an enhanced role of the United Nations in global governance. Putin also stressed that security should be inclusive.

Addressing European matters, Putin criticized NATO's expansion towards Russia's borders, describing it as a breach of past promises and a factor complicating the current situation. He expressed optimism for a return to constructive dialogue with European nations and affirmed Russia's willingness to restore its relations with European states.

Regarding the Ukraine crisis, Putin underscored the importance of achieving a peaceful resolution swiftly. He stated that Moscow would persist in its efforts to meet its objectives until Ukraine and its supporters show readiness for long-term peace. Putin called for renewed discussions on Russian proposals aimed at establishing equitable security measures to help resolve the crisis.

Putin also highlighted Russia's developed cooperation with Brazil, noting a shared vision for forming a multipolar global system. He affirmed Russia's commitment to strengthening ties with Middle Eastern and North African countries, emphasizing a partnership founded on mutual trust. He noted that the relationship with Saudi Arabia has significantly improved, with OPEC+ collaboration contributing to global energy market stability.

In relation to Africa, Putin announced the commencement of preparations for a third Russia-Africa summit, affirming Russia's continued support for African nations in their development efforts and their increasing role in international affairs.
