The Kingdom of Bahrain is stepping up preparations to organise the 2024 School Games, scheduled to be held next October.
The 2024 edition, which is considered the largest to-date, will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The 2024 School Games held a webinar with Bahrain ambassadors in Asia and discussed cooperation as part of preparations to hold the international tournament.
Committee Depuy Chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulrahman bin Salman Al Khalifa shed light on the goals of the 2024 School Games, stressing the importance of cooperation to highlight the historic event.
It was agreed to continue coordination between the executive committee and Bahrain’s overseas diplomatic missions to promote the competition in the Asian countries.
More than five thousand students representing more than 80 countries from all over the world will compete in 25 different sports.
The delegations of students will converge on Bahrain along with their families, who are also expected to attend the tournament.
Chaired by Ishaq Abdulla Ishaq, the committee will continue holding meetings with Bahrain’s ambassadors in other continents of the world to further promote the games.
