London: A power outage hit the London Underground on Monday, causing major travel disruption in the capital.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the website of Transport for London (TfL) showed the entire Bakerloo, Waterloo and City, and Suffragette lines were suspended, while there were severe delays and part suspensions on the Elizabeth, Jubilee, and Northern lines.
A spokesman for TfL stated that there was an outage in south-west London for "a matter of minutes" and "everything shut down" due to a "National Grid issue". The incident resulted in some passengers possibly being stuck in tunnels for a short duration.
TfL is currently in the process of restoring full operations on the affected lines.
