Power Generation and Water Desalination Operations Uninterrupted Amid Regional Tensions

Kuwait City: Power generation and water desalination operations have remained smooth and uninterrupted despite rising tensions following an Israeli strike on Iran, which led to retaliatory actions by Tehran, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced on Friday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, ministry spokesperson Fatma Hayat assured that the ministry is fully prepared to handle any emergencies that may arise. She emphasized that contingency plans are in place, and efforts to increase fresh water storage are underway.

Hayat also called on the public to use electricity and water wisely, aligning with the ministry's broader strategy to promote the rational use of resources.
