Rome: The Vatican announced on Wednesday that Pope Francis's condition has shown slight improvement over the past 24 hours.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the blood tests have confirmed positive results. The mild renal insufficiency that was previously detected has been resolved, and the CT scan revealed normal progress in the pulmonary inflammatory condition, according to a press release from the official portal, Vatican News.
The Pope continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy and has not experienced any new asthmatic-like respiratory crises. He is undergoing respiratory physiotherapy as part of his treatment.
Pope Francis received the Eucharist this morning, and in the afternoon, he carried out work-related activities.
He remains hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, where he has been receiving care for 12 days, the statement added.
