Police: Car-Ramming Incident in Munich Injures 20 People

Munich: A car ramming incident in Munich, Germany, resulted in the injury of 20 people, said the police on Thursday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the German police revealed that a vehicle rammed into a union function held in the southern city, causing the aforementioned injuries. The police affirmed that the suspect behind the incident was arrested but did not provide details about the motivation of the perpetrator or whether it was an accident or not.

The Der Spiegel newspaper revealed that the perpetrator was a 24-year-old Afghan. The German city is preparing for the 61st Munich Security Conference, which is set to kick off on Friday and continue until February 16.
