Cairo: Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and his Palestinian counterpart Mohammad Mustafa convened to discuss a strategic plan for the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza. This initiative is set to be presented at an emergency Arab summit in Cairo on March 4, as announced by the Egyptian Cabinet.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during the meeting, Mustafa Madbouli emphasized Egypt’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate aspirations, particularly the right to self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state along the pre-June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. He highlighted that under President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi’s directive, the Egyptian government has crafted a comprehensive plan aimed at the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, ensuring that the local population remains within the enclave.
The Egyptian prime minister reiterated Cairo’s commitment to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the importance of ceasefire and reconstruction efforts. In response, the Palestinian official expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s continued support, acknowledging President Al-Sisi’s dedication to upholding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
