Palestinian FM Launches Campaign Against Gaza Occupation

Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday initiated a political, diplomatic, and legal campaign, urging the international community to take responsibility for the severe consequences of an Israeli plan to occupy Gaza City.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry's press release stated that the campaign aims to raise awareness about the real implications of the occupation decision for Palestinian civilians in the enclave. The ministry expressed regret over the United Nations Security Council's failure to enforce an immediate cessation of war, release prisoners, protect civilians, and address the ongoing starvation, noting that this inaction has become an excuse for the Israeli government to proceed with plans of annihilation, displacement, and annexation.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, approved a plan to assert control over Gaza City and expand military operations, escalating tensions in the region.
