Palestine Condemns Israeli Knesset’s Annexation Proposals for West Bank

Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned recent statements and proposals from the Israeli Knesset that call for imposing Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry described these actions as colonialist and part of ongoing efforts to expand settlements and deepen annexation, which it said amount to establishing an apartheid regime in occupied Palestine. It criticized the moves as a violation of UN resolutions and the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion, further undermining prospects for a two-state solution following the Knesset's rejection of a Palestinian state.

The ministry urged the international community to respond seriously, condemn these actions, and take immediate steps to halt them ahead of the upcoming UN conference on the two-state solution. The Knesset is set to vote Wednesday on a symbolic, non-binding annexation proposal.
