Islamabad: The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, held a meeting with the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during his official visit to Islamabad. The discussions centered around the latest regional developments and strengthening bilateral ties. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement highlighting the review of the deep-rooted historical relationships between Pakistan and Kuwait. The dialogue focused on enhancing mutual cooperation across various fields, aligning with the shared interests of both nations. The statement further mentioned that both leaders deliberated on regional security and stability efforts. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah expressed Kuwait's appreciation for Pakistan's active diplomatic engagement in promoting regional security and stability. During the meeting, Sheikh Jarrah conveyed greetings from Kuwait's political leadership to the Pres ident of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, extending wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Pakistan. The discussions were attended by high-ranking officials from both countries, including Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and Ministers of Defense, Trade, National Food Security, Research and Communications, Maritime Affairs, and Petroleum.
