Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, announced on Tuesday that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are collaborating to further solidify their relationship through mutually beneficial economic and investment partnerships. According to Kuwait News Agency, PM Sharif conveyed his satisfaction with the progress on the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) concerning Saudi investment of USD 2.8 billion in Pakistan. During a meeting with the visiting Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood in Islamabad, the Prime Minister highlighted the long-standing fraternal relations between the two nations and expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their unwavering support of Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of defense and security collaboration, noting that the visit of the Deputy Interior Minister and his delegation would enhance bilateral cooperation in these critical sectors. The Prime Minister also reflected on the recent Arab-Islamic Summit held in Riyadh, praising Saudi Ara bia's leadership for organizing the event and the stance of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman on the Palestinian issue. The discussions extended to the situation in Gaza and the broader Middle East, where PM Sharif lauded Saudi Arabia's leadership in uniting the Muslim world to collectively address the violence in Gaza triggered by Israel's actions. Moreover, PM Sharif reiterated his invitation to Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to visit Pakistan officially at his earliest convenience, expressing that the people of Pakistan eagerly anticipate extending a very warm welcome to him.
