Omani-East African Business Forum Begins in Muscat

Muscat: The Omani-East African Business Forum commenced on Monday in Muscat, organized by Oman's Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Global Digital Technologies. This forum aims to enhance regional economic connections by assembling government officials, investors, and trade representatives from East African countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia, and Rwanda.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Chairman of the Chamber, Faisal Al-Rawas, emphasized in his opening remarks that the forum's organization underscores the Chamber's commitment to establishing effective regional partnerships. These partnerships are intended to support sustainable development and identify promising sectors for economic growth. Al-Rawas described the forum as a strategic opportunity to enhance economic and trade cooperation between Oman and East Africa.

CEO of Global Digital Technologies, Faiz Al-Shukaili, highlighted that the forum occurs at a pivotal time, serving as a platform for dialogue and cooperation. It brings together investors, business leaders, and policymakers from both regions. More than 20 experts are participating in discussions centered on opportunities in trade, investment, renewable energy, financial technology, infrastructure, agri-business, education, and innovation.
