Muscat: Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi engaged in a discussion with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on regional issues of mutual concern, focusing on efforts to deescalate tensions in the Middle East. The conversation took place over the phone on Monday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the diplomats explored methods to achieve peaceful resolutions to regional conflicts and emphasized the importance of establishing fair and comprehensive peace through constructive dialogue.
They also reviewed the longstanding friendly relations and cooperation between Oman and the United States across political, economic, trade, and cultural sectors, as mentioned in a statement from the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strategic dialogue and partnership programs, aiming to advance the common interests of both nations.
