Kuwait: Deputy Prime Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmoud Al-Said, emphasized the significance of holding regular meetings among the GCC countries to bolster the Council's position in the international community. He noted that such gatherings enhance cohesion among the member states, enabling them to tackle common challenges effectively, thereby fostering progress and prosperity. According to Kuwait News Agency, during his address at the 45th session of the GCC Supreme Council's meeting hosted in Kuwait, Al-Said reiterated Oman's commitment to ongoing cooperation efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in the region. He also highlighted the need to engage with current issues actively. Al-Said extended hearty congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for assuming the presidency of the current GCC Supreme Council session, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to delegates. Furthermore, Al-Said expressed his appreciation towards His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar for his effective management of the preceding 44th GCC Supreme Council session. He conveyed the greetings of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman to the summit attendees. In concluding his address, Al-Said thanked the GCC Secretary General and the General Secretariat's team for their diligent preparation of the summit, wishing them success in steering the organization towards a promising future. Earlier in the day, Al-Said lauded the GCC's accomplishments since its inception, particularly in economic, social, legislative, and scientific domains. He emphasized the necessity of intensified efforts to enhance cooperation and integration among Gulf nations, which share a unified historical background. He pointed out that the rapid developments on regional and international fronts necessitate the exchange of perspectives to forge a unified vision to navigate these challenges.
