Oman and Egypt Discuss Enhancing Trade and Investment Cooperation

Muscat: Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais Al-Yousef and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation during their meeting on Monday. According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions, which took place in Muscat, focused on developing two-way trade by diversifying mutual products to create broader opportunities for various economic sectors. The ministers deliberated on boosting joint investments and encouraging private institutions in both countries to explore promising investment opportunities. They highlighted the need for logistic integration, including the development of waterways and the provision of incentives and facilities. Additionally, the ministers stressed the importance of reactivating the Omani-Egyptian Business Council to strengthen bilateral economic relations. The council is viewed as a key platform for fostering cooperation between the two nations.
