Ramallah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned on Wednesday the Israeli occupation military attack on Birzeit University in the West Bank that resulted in injuries.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the OIC stated that this deliberate attack is a blatant violation of international laws and conventions and an extension of the continued attacks against the Palestinian education system. It reiterated its call to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and concerned international authorities to uphold their responsibilities and take measures to monitor and document these violations.
On Tuesday, the Palestinian Health Authority affirmed that 11 students were injured in the Israeli occupation attack on Birzeit University. They explained that the forces stormed the campus during official working hours, coinciding with an event organized by the student blocs in solidarity with the prisoners in the occupation prisons.
