Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi declared on Tuesday the official inauguration of the new maternity hospital would be during the coming few weeks revealing that external clinics, the radiation wards and the laboratories would fully operate during the preliminary period. Minister Al-Awadhi made the announcement to KUNA during an inspection by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad al-Sabah and a number of ministers of the hospital site in Al-Sabah medical zone. The new hospital is among the medical care infrastructural projects, envisaged in the development strategy, neo Kuwait 2035. The hospital is situated on a 65,000 square meters plot of land in Al-Sabah medical zone. It is designed with most modern international criteria particularly in women diseases' treatment, featuring green and energy-saving buildings with facilities for caring for prematurely born babies. Its accomodation capacity amounts to 789 beds, 58 rooms and 28 operation wards, the minister said. Source: Kuw ait News Agency
