Brussels: EU Parliament President Roberta Metsola announced on Monday that the challenges ahead for the European Union will be significant, but expressed confidence that the new leadership team is well-equipped to tackle these obstacles. Metsola made these remarks following a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa at the "House of European History" in Brussels. According to Kuwait News Agency, Metsola highlighted in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) that Europeans are expecting the new European Commission and European Council teams to deliver tangible outcomes. Among the key priorities she mentioned were securing good jobs, ensuring a healthy climate, and bolstering defenses. Metsola affirmed the leaders' commitment by stating, "Together, we will deliver results."
