NATO Chief Emphasizes Seriousness of Drone Incursions in Denmark

Brussels: NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has asserted that the alliance is addressing the drone incursions in Denmark with utmost seriousness, highlighting close cooperation to safeguard critical infrastructure.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Rutte communicated via a post on X about his discussion with Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, emphasizing the gravity of the drone situation and the collaborative efforts between NATO Allies and Denmark to ensure the protection of essential infrastructure.

Earlier, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated that the drones observed over several Danish airports are suspected to be part of a hybrid attack, possibly orchestrated by a professional entity. In recent incidents, the airspace at Aalborg Airport in northern Denmark was temporarily closed on Wednesday following the sighting of drones, which mirrored a similar occurrence near Copenhagen Airport two days prior.
