Kuwait city: Namaa Charity has launched a winter clothing voucher initiative to support 1,000 underprivileged families across Kuwait, in cooperation with the Athar Volunteer Work Center. The initiative allows beneficiary families to select their winter essentials from local markets, reflecting Namaa's approach to modernizing humanitarian support while preserving dignity and personal choice.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Head of Financial Resources and Development, Khaled Al-Shammari, stated that the project embodies the concept of giving and supports the localization of charitable work by empowering families rather than distributing pre-selected aid. This approach ensures that families have the autonomy to choose items that best meet their needs.
Athar Center official Abeer Al-Hajras highlighted the key role of volunteers in organizing distribution, coordinating with families, and providing logistical support. She stressed that volunteerism remains a core pillar of Namaa's community initiatives, emphasizing the importance of effective community partnership.
The initiative underscores Namaa's ongoing efforts to strengthen social stability and humanitarian support within Kuwait, showcasing a commitment to supporting underprivileged families through innovative and empowering methods.
