Muscat: Oman and Bahrain on Wednesday affirmed the necessity of boosting mutual coordination to cement security and prosperity for all peoples of the region and the globe. This announcement was made in a joint statement marking the end of a two-day state visit by Bahrain's King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa to the Sultanate.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sultan Haitham bin Tareq received the Bahraini Monarch during the visit, where they discussed the solid cooperation between the two countries. They stressed the necessity of expanding the economic partnership and encouraged both public and private sectors to diversify entrepreneurial activities within this partnership framework.
The King and the Sultan praised the efforts of the joint commission in enhancing cooperation and executing joint enterprises. They also examined the achievements made at the GCC level and discussed various regional and international issues.
The visit witnessed the signing of several agreements and memorandums in cultural, scientific, social, health, media, financial, economic, food security, municipal, and meteorological domains.
