Muscat: The 29th Muscat International Book Fair commenced on Thursday, attracting 674 publishing houses from 35 countries, including participants from Kuwait. The event, which offers a wide array of cultural and literary activities, is scheduled to run until May 3.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the fair is set to host 211 cultural events and numerous programs. These activities include entertainment competitions, scientific initiatives, theatrical performances, and cultural workshops, with highlights such as the "Challenge Time with Reading" initiative.
In terms of media coverage, the event has invited over 74 media professionals representing 50 media organizations from several countries. Additionally, a number of social media activists are expected to cover the fair.
