MP Reveals The Reasons For Not Carrying Out The Cabinet Reshuffle… And The Date For The Reluctant Governors To Be Replaced

The MP of the State of Law Coalition, Thaer Makheef Al-Jubouri, revealed the reasons for not carrying out the ministerial change so far, and the date for changing the reluctant governors.

Al-Jubouri said in a special statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “All previous prime ministers came in the first stage with force and took bold decisions, and the Iraqis rejoiced in them, but after that they were shocked by political consensus and political desires, and this matter applies to the current government as well.” Consequently, the bold tone softens over time, and political consensus is adopted in decision-making.

He explained: “The ministerial change was proposed early in the current government, and it was supposed to take place after conducting an evaluation for each minister, but we have witnessed a retraction from this proposal, given that the desires of the political blocs differ from the vision of the prime minister, and that each bloc has a number of ministers who came within political agreement, and defend them.”

And on the dismissal of the reluctant governors, Al-Jubouri stressed: “The talk is currently about their dismissal after holding the provincial council elections at the end of this year, and this means a decline in their replacement.”

He pointed out: “The change of governors must be before changing the ministers and sooner before the launch of the budget, given that the survival of the lagging governor with indicators of corruption, in the coming period, will be difficult to ensure the preservation of the budget funds allocated to the governorate that are managed by the lagging governor.”
