“Moscow Seasons in Kuwait” Culminates with Moscow Symphony Orchestra’s Grand Finale

Kuwait city: The Moscow Seasons Festival in Kuwait concluded with a grand concert by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre. The event marked the end of a significant cultural exchange between Kuwait and Russia, which featured performances of iconic Russian compositions.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Ivan Rudin, presented a program that included famous Russian pieces such as Igor Stravinsky's 'The Firebird' and Pyotr Tchaikovsky's 'The Nutcracker'. The concert's finale featured Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's 'Scheherazade', a symphonic suite inspired by the 'Arabian Nights' stories.

Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, emphasized the event's significance in fostering ties between Kuwait and Russia. Speaking at the closing ceremony, which was attended by the Minister of State for Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, he highlighted the festival as a symbol of cultural dialogue and mutual respect.

The festival, which began on Thursday, was the first of its kind in the Middle East, designed to enhance cultural and tourism links by showcasing Moscow's heritage and contemporary culture. Minister Al-Mutairi noted that the Russian Seasons in Kuwait are part of broader initiatives, including the recent Kuwait Cultural Week in Moscow, aimed at introducing Kuwaiti culture to Russia.

He acknowledged the support of Kuwait's leadership, including His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in promoting cultural cooperation with Russia. The minister also expressed appreciation for the Mayor of Moscow and the organizing team for their efforts in making the event successful.

Russian Ambassador to Kuwait Vladimir Zheltov remarked on the concert's role in showcasing Russian musical heritage. He invited Kuwaitis to explore Moscow's rich cultural scene, highlighting the strong and evolving relationship between the two nations.
