MoI Warns Against Fake Messages Regarding Traffic Violations

Kuwait City: Kuwait's Ministry of Interior (MoI) cautioned on Tuesday the public against dealing with false messages or unknown websites, which offer discounts regarding traffic violations.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry emphasized in a press release that paying violations is only done through official channels, specifically "Sahel", the unified governmental application. It clarified that it neither sends SMS from international numbers to people nor provides "discounts" for traffic violations.

The ministry urged everyone to verify the identity of those who send such messages and to report any fake messages immediately through "Aman", a security feature available on "Sahel".
