MoI Intensifies Awareness Campaigns Before Implementing New Traffic Law

Kuwait City: Interior Ministry Undersecretary and Chairman of the Supreme Traffic Council, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, intensified awareness campaigns on Tuesday before starting to implement the new traffic law.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this initiative was announced in a press statement by the General Department of Security Relations and Media at the Interior Ministry following the 23rd meeting of the Supreme Traffic Council chaired by Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf. The meeting was attended by council members representing the Ministries of Interior, Education, Public Works and Information, along with the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation and Kuwait Municipality.

During the meeting, Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf emphasized the necessity of collaboration between government agencies and civil society to meet the national strategic objectives for traffic safety. He also conveyed greetings and best wishes from the First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah for the council's success in its endeavors.

The discussions focused on enhancing public transport services, evaluating developments in traffic safety, and formulating future plans to reduce traffic accidents through improved road infrastructure.
