MoI Approves Regulations for Foreigners’ Residency Law in Kuwait

Kuwait city: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah has issued a ministerial decree approving the executive regulations of the foreigners' residency law 2249 for 2025. This move is part of the Ministry of Interior's initiative to enhance the legal framework governing the residency of foreigners in Kuwait, addressing the evolving needs of the nation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the executive regulations have been published in the official gazette and are set to take effect one month from now. These regulations cover all aspects related to entry permits, including family and commercial visits, as well as entry permits for workers in the private sector and housemaids. The Ministry's statement highlighted the importance of these updates in ensuring compliance and legal clarity for residents and visitors.
