Riyadh: The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Heritage Commission to integrate the crafts sector with the industrial ecosystem and economically empower artisans. The agreement focuses on developing high-quality craft products with substantial market value, connecting artisans with industrial cities' products and services, and supporting their participation in exhibitions and events, thereby transforming traditional crafts into sustainable, viable products.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement also seeks to strengthen artisans' capacities by providing quality services and investment opportunities that ensure the continuity of craft practices. Additionally, it includes the provision of industrial land and ready-made units to enable artisans to start their activities and produce their crafts efficiently.
