MoD Inaugurates Hugo Robotic-Assisted Surgery System at Jaber Al-Ahmad Military Hospital

Kuwait city: Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah launched the Hugo, the latest Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) System, at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Military Hospital. The inauguration took place during the minister's visit to the medical staff of the hospital, alongside the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lt.-Gen. Khaled Al-Shuraian, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, they were joined by the head of the Army's medical services authority, Maj.-Gen Dr. Walid Mandani. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of advancing the military health service system and aligning the medical sector with global standards. He praised the medical staff for their dedicated service to military personnel and their families.

During his hospital visit, Sheikh Abdullah attended a video presentation highlighting the missions, achievements, and projects aimed at enhancing healthcare quality. He also toured various hospital wards, including the Intensive Care Unit, which has a 14-bed capacity.
